With improvement in cataract surgery techniques, visual recovery has become predictable & almost certain. This has led to increase in expectations of patients. However, even most skilled & experienced surgeons face complications related to vitreo-retina (VR). A less than perfect result is often disturbing to patient & surgeon. Moreover, there exist many VR pathologies which make cataract surgery less than routine. It is important for cataract surgeon to anticipate & recognize predisposing factors & take appropriate remedial measures to minimize damage caused by these complications. This instruction course aims at both cataract and VR surgeons in training or in practice. It will be conducted by experts and give insights into the causes, prevention and management of VR complications. It provides a VR perspective to cataract surgery. After attending, ophthalmologists shall be able to recognize complications early, stabilize environment and manage complications maximizing their results.
