Dr.Muralidhar Ramappa
This course will provide video presentation and case scenarios of various challenges encountered while performing Penetrating keratoplasty (PK), Rotational auto keratoplasty (RAK), Deep lamellar keratoplasty (DLK), Endothelial keratoplasty (EK) in children. Topics will include initial assessment, indication, and timing for surgical intervention surgical challenges, techniques, and post-operative care. Case based discussions will explain the surgical method for RAK in paracentral corneal scar; DLK for stromal pathology using manual spiral in technique to avoid Descemet perforation where big bubble fails; EK in CHED, failed PK, buphthalmos with GFS, post glaucoma surgery with the comparison of outcomes of lamellar and penetrating graft.
