INTRODUCTION-. Frosted branch angiitis causes characteristic florid translucent retinal perivascular sheathing of both arterioles and venules
PURPOSE-Retrospective study of 4 rare cases of FBA who presented to 2 tertiary eye care centres in south india with follow up ranged from 9 to 18 months
METHODOLOGY- Retrospective review over 2 years.
RESULTS-We had immunocompetent to suppressed as 1:1.The immunosuppressed wereHIVpositive with unilateral frosted branch angiitisand CMV Retinitis.They were started on HAART and intra vitrealgancyclovir.The immunocompetent group had anidiopathic andBehcets patienteach. They had drastic improvement after starting steroids and cyclophosphamide respectively.Presenting best vision ranged from hand movements to 1/60.Final vision ranged from 6/36 to 1/60.
CONCLUSION: Delineating the immune status is the first vital step as treatment plans are poles apart. Early diagnosis, targeted treatment, meticulous follow upare key for treatment success.
