PURPOSE—to compare measurements of higher order aberrations of two commonly used aberrometers. METHOD—100 eyes which have undergone either wavefront guided LASIK or wavefront guided PRK were compared for total higher order aberrations preoperatively, 1 month postoperatively and 3 month postoperatively by itrace (Tracey Technologies) and Zywave (Bausch and Lomb) aberrometers. RESULTS—preoperative values of HOA calculated by Zywave were higher than iTrace in both LASIK and PRK groups. Postoperative first month and third month values of HOA calculated by Zywave were higher than iTrace. Difference was statistically significant each time except for third month postoperative PRK group calculation. CONCLUSION—in our analysis calculation of HOA are not comparable between Zywave and iTrace with statistically significant differences between the two
