Dr.Mihir Trilok KothariAim: To report the visual outcome of dichoptic therapy in monofixation syndrome with eccentric fixation. Methods: This retrospective cohort study included patients having residual amblyopia with SD OCT confirmed eccentric fixators not responding to maximum occlusion therapy. An average 18 vision therapy sessions (alternate day for 6weeks) using Sanet Vision Integrator and Vision Therapy System 4 were given. Results: 11 patients, 7 females, aged 17.3 years ±9(7-36years) were included. 8 had anisometropia with monofixation syndrome. 2 had primary monofixation syndrome. Mean improvement in the visual acuity was 2lines(±2, 0-6) for the distance and 2.2lines(±2.2, 0-6.5) for the near. This improvement was clinically significant (p=0.36 for D, p=0.01 for N). Two patients gained stereopsis and two developed bifoveal fusion. Conclusion: Dichoptic therapy was modestly effective for vision improvement in monofixation syndrome with eccentric fixation resistant to conventional occlusion therapy
