Introduction: : Endophthalmitis is an inflammation of the interior structures of the eye predominantly due to infection. Traumatic endophthalmitis is known to occur following ocular trauma. It is one of the most important causes of loss of vision following trauma. It is a dreaded complication feared by the ophthalmologist since it is has a poor prognosis.
Method: A case series of patients diagnosed with traumatic endophthalmitis.USG examnitaion , fundus photo. Initially primary treatment like foriegn body removal , wound repair ,etc. were done . following that Intravitreal injection was given. Then the patients underwent vitrectomy. Anterior segment photo, USG and fundus Photograph were taken at every follow up.
Conclusion: The visual outcome in patients undergoing surgical management like vitrectomy had a good visual outcome in traumatic endophthalmitis. Early diagnosis & timely management can lead to a better visual outcome in cases of traumatic endophthalmitis.
