PP236 : Report a rare case of acquired inclusion cyst following ocular blunt trauma.

Purpose- Report a rare case of acquired inclusion cyst occurring following ocular blunt trauma. The purpose of the case report is to discuss the factors leading to conjuctival cyst formation, vision impairment and recurrence after its excision. Method-Male patient aged 25 years presented with diminished vision of 20/60 and gradually progressive swelling measuring 13×12 mm over his left upper lid since 8 weeks which was visible only on lid eversion. Past history of blunt trauma 9 weeks ago with a small stone. Complete excision of the cyst was performed, followed up for 6 months .Excised tissue was subjected to evaluation which revealed cyst lined by non-keratinized stratified squamous epithelium. Results- Left eye vision improved to 20/20. No recurrence was observed. Conclusion-conjuctival inclusion cyst can develop following blunt trauma. Cyst excision was effective in correcting vision and preventing the recurrence.
