PP423 : Hyper-reflective dots in Swept source OCT- A new indicator of inflammation in choroiditis

Aim: To Study the Swept Source characteristics of choroiditis and assess changes in response to treatment

Materials and Method: 9 cases of choroiditis were included in prospective study from Oct’16 to May’17. All patients were scanned using swept sourse OCT. Clinical and demographical characteristics were recorded. Choroidal characteristics on OCT were recorded before commencing the treatment and 1 week and 1 month follow up after treatment.

Result: Hyper-reflective dots were observed in the Sattler and Haller layer of the choroid on OCT images which appeared to fade off in the 1st week of follow up after starting treatment. At 1 month follow up visit, hyper-reflective dots appeared to completely disappear in 7 cases which showed clinical improvement while 2 cases showed persistence of hyper-reflective dots of treatment which on subsequent follow up showed reactivation.

Conclusion: Hyper-reflective dots on OCT can be considered an indicator for response to treatment.
