To compare recurrence rate and complications between Mini-Simple limbal epithelial transplantation (Mini-SLET) and fibrin glue assisted CAG adherence following excision of pterygium. Method: Fifty eyes of 50 patients with primary nasal pterygium were randomised into two groups: group I (25 eyes) underwent mini-SLET and group II (30 eyes) had CAG adherence with fibrin glue. The patients were followed on day 1, weeks 1 and 4, and at every 3 months till 12 months after surgery. Results: Rate of recurrence was similar (p = 0.585) between two groups. Time taken for surgery for Group 1 was more as compared to group 2 (p< 0.001). Postoperative patient discomfort (foreign body sensation, epiphora, pain and irritation) was more in Group II (p<0.001). Complications like graft/AMG retraction, graft /limbal pieces displacement, cyst formation and dellen formation were statistically insignificant in two groups. Conclusion: Both techniques are useful methods with similar rate of recurrence.
