A retrospective analysis of case records of 240 patients treated by double frequency Nd-YAG laser therapy at a tertiary care teaching institute from 2010-2015 with a minimum follow up of 2 years were done. Out of 240 patients,176 males & 54 females, age varied from 42-84,184 branch retinal vein & 56 CRV occlusion, 115 known hypertensive & 56 diabetes, , 23 had CVA & 37 had CAD, 18 had CKD. After detailed investigations including,IOP,FFA,OCT,HFA, patients undergone laser therapy in different sittings after control of systemic diseases. All cases were followed up at regular intervals of 1,3,6,12,&24 months with a minimum of 2 years & all required investigations repeated, especially VA,IOP & OCT. Branch vein occlusion recovered well (78%) & 34% of CRV responded good.11% developed neo-vascular glaucoma &14% had very poor response. All failed cases were later treated by medically, anti-VEGF inj. or cyclocryo therapy. Laser still remains to be a accepted therapy for retinal vein occlusion.
