A 70 yr old lady presented with decrease in vision in the right eye for 6 months and left eye for 1 month in Dec, 2006. Her best corrected visual acuity was 3/60 and 6/12 in the right and left eye respectively. On clinical examination, her anterior segment was normal with stable pseudophakia. IOP was 18 and 16 mm of Hg in the RE and LE respectively. Fundus examination showed scarred CNVM in the RE and active CNVM in the LE with cystoid edema and retinal haemorrhages. FFA was done to confirm the clinical diagnosis. She was advised to take intravitreal anti-VEGF injection in the LE. Since then she has received 27 injections of multiple molecules of anti-VEGF in the same eye with waxing and waning of vision. Monitoring was done by OCT and FFA. The last injection was given in Dec, 2014. Since then, her vision has remained stable at 6/18 in the LE. Timely intervention with anti-VEGF injections for CNVM is of paramount importance to preserve vision despite recurrences and scarring.
