Purpose: To know the visual outcome of preoperative intravitreal Triamcinolone acetonide (2mg) + Bevacizumab (1.25mg) and intravitreal Bevacizumab (1.25mg) prior to the day of scheduled surgery in PDR patients with non-resolving vitreous hemorrhage. Methods: prospective comparative study involving 28 PDR patients with non-resolving vitreous hemorrhage. Group1 (n=15) IV Triamcinolone acetonide (2mg) + Bevacizumab (1.25mg) and group2 (n=13) IV Bevacizumab (1.25mg). Preoperative Complexity Score (CS), surgical time, intraoperative maneuvers, feasibility of surgery and visual and anatomical outcome at 6 months observed. Result: CS was similar in both groups (5.5) intraoperative bleeding grade 1vs2, endodiathermy 2vs5. Postoperative BCVA improved in group 1>2. Conclusion: Efficacy and safety of preoperative IVTA+IVB is better than IVB alone.
