IOLs are exquisitely engineered to provide excellent vision when implanted into a stable capsule following cataract surgery, if the lens capsule or zonules fail the IOL dislocates, vision usually deteriorates. Unfortunately, just as cars are not designed to be easily fixed after crashing, IOLs are not designed to be easily repositioned after dislocating. This IC aims in highlighting various surgical acrobatics in decentered/dislocated IOLs from VR perspective. Topics include IOL trapeze-handling single haptic problems (common complications post Iris claw/SFIOLs), how various IOLs can be explanted in safest way without jeopardizing cornea and retina, various techniques of sutureless SFIOLs by VR surgeon, interesting case collections including pseudophacoele, dislocated IOLs in RD, IOL X-files, tips for IOL management in VR surgery- clearing the way for better visualisation. We have experienced faculty who can share their vast experience of handling such difficult situations.
