VT10 : Management of congenital glaucoma associated with Stickler Syndrome

Stickler syndrome with Pierre Robin Sequence and bilateral congenital glaucoma is a rare disease. The present video highlights the management of such a child of one month age. Simultaneous bilateral primary combined trabeculotomy with trabeculectomy were performed under general anesthesia. Surgery was performed with laryngeal mask airway as the endotracheal intubation was failed to be achieved owing to the presence of Pierre Robin sequence. The child’s surgery was successful in controlling intraocular pressure, restoring corneal transparency, but required spectacle correction of -16.00 Dsph in both eyes. There were no intraoperative and postoperative complications. A multidisciplinary approach was required for the successful management of this child.
