Corneal allogenic intra-stromal ring segment is a new technique for managing keratoconus, by using a corneal spacer principle. In this procedure two ring segments of appropriate sizes are made from donor corneal tissue. Similar to Intacs, these segments are inserted via an incision on the steep axis into the channel made by a femtosecond laser. The results obtained on our initial subset of patients are extremely good.
