Intratunnel phacofracture is a nucleus management technique of the manual small incision cataract surgery, in which the lens nucleus is broken inside a sclerocorneal tunnel and removed.Intratunnel phacofracture can be performed through an incision of 4 mm to 8mm. Preexisting astigmatism is neutralized by surgically induced astigmatism. Up to 3 Diopter of the preexisting astigmatism can be effectively neutralized by planning the incision size and site, eliminating the need for expensive toric IOLs. So in other words manual small incision is also a cataract refractive procedure. In this video we will show intratunnel phacofracture manual small incision cataract surgery from 4mm,5mm,6mm and 6.5 mm wide sclerocorneal tunnel
