Toric IOLs are gaining popularity because these are essential to improve unaided visual acuity in patients undergoing cataract who have preexisting corneal astigmatism. These IOLs are also being used in pediatric patients who have significant astigmatism. Toric IOl implantation in pediatric patients presents problems of reference axis marking in uncooperative patients. Faced with similar situation and in absence of costly markerless reference marking system, Author came up with novel Retroillumination marking method. in this video presenter will demonstrate how the reference axis was marked using retroillumination image on autorefractometer and then using iToric android app the actual axis of placement was calculated. The final outcome shows accuracy of the method used.
