Combined Phaco vitrectomy is used to treat combined pathologies. However in certain pathologies such as vitreous or sub hyaloid haemorrhage it becomes difficult to get a red glow to perform phacoemulsification including capsulorhexis. In this video we show footage to enhance the glow for such cases using the 25 gauge chandelier light to retroilluminate and give a fantastic glow for the cataract procedure. The cannula inserted for the chandelier is utilised eventually for the infusion cannula.
