Purpose-There are various eye motility disorders related to specific problem areas in the brain. This video aims at showing pathognomonic eye movements which may help in reaching a diagnosis and hence enabling treatment in appropriate situations.
Methods- This video demonstrates ocular motility disorders of patients with congenital see saw nystagmus, benign spasmus nutans, convergence retraction nystagmus, congenital oculomotor apraxia and opsoclonus. It describes and demonstrates the salient features of recognising these ocular motility disorders.
Results- This video gives a brief synopsis of the problem areas in the brain associated with congenital and acquired forms of these ocular motility disorders.
Conclusions- This video would aid the clinician in diagnosing the above mentioned specific types of ocular motility disorders.
