To present technique of limbal relaxing incisions (LRI) in patients implanted with multifocal intraocular lens (IOL) .
Patients who had preexisting astigmatism between 0.75 to 1.5 D were chosen to undergo LRI during phacoemulsification and were implanted with multifocal IOL. Extent of LRI was calculated on AMO online calculator.
Video will show the calculation and technique of performing LRI in patients chosen for implantation of multifocal IOL. Results showed reduction in astigmatism to less than 0.5D.
LRI is option compared to toric IOLs in patients having moderate astigmatism and want multifocal IOL.
