Cysticercosis is an infection caused by larval form (cysticercus cellulosae) of the pork tapeworm, Taenia solium. Ocular cysticercosis may be extraocular (in the subconjunctival or orbital tissues) or intraocular (in the vitreous, subretinal space, or anterior chamber). We present a video of surgical removal of a large cysticercus cyst embroiled in the muscle sheath of the Medial Rectus muscle in a young girl of 15 years. The video highlights the fine dissection of the cyst in toto and also presents literature search on the disease in brief.
