Aim: To show surgical management of posterior polar cataract
Methods: Three patients having posterior polar cataract were operated by stop and chop technique of phacoemulsification under peribulbar block.
Results: Two of them could be managed successfully while one had nucleus drop in spite of all precautions. Detail steps to prevent nucleus drop in such patients will be shown.
Conclusion: Nucleus drop can occur in any posterior polar cataract. Hence these types of cataract require special precautions specially during phacoemulsification.
