We present a video of a 35-year-old man who was attacked by a bear with consequent primary repair done elsewhere. At presentation, he had an anophthalmic left socket but surprisingly he had perception of light. So, the question was how is it possible? An MRI scan of his left orbit showed the left globe lying in the left maxillary. The end result was a satisfactory re-positioning of the globe. To know the consequence following the injury during management of the case and to know the ground reality a spot survey was conducted. It was found that there was lack of health and road infrastructure and public transport system in that area. The status of the infrastructure was highlighted to the concerned authorities which later led to the construction of bridge and road thereby reducing the commute time from 8-9 hours to 1 hour. Thus, this video highlights how a scientifically documented spot survey helped in the upgradation of the health and socioeconomic infrastructure of the community.
