Aim: To show surgical management of sequelae of grade 3 chemical injury
Method: A 25 years old male patient had grade 3 chemical injury who developed extensive symblepharon and corneal haze. Symblepharon release with optical penetrating keratoplasty was done in same sitting under local anaesthesia.
Result: Postoperatively patient had good outcome in terms of graft clarity and visual outcome.
Conclusion: Symblepharon with corneal haze due to chemical injury can be managed successfully by surgical intervention.
