This video demonstrates the surgical management of fibrosis hard cataract with phacodonesis following blunt trauma.Initially a small capsulorrhexis opening was created with a Phaco probe on sculpt mode as the capsular bag was fibrosis.Iris hook were used to enlarge the pupil for better exposure.With the help of Retinotomy scissors,relaxing cuts were made at the edges of capsular rim.Using irrigation probe and second instrument ,the nucleus along with the capsular bag were lifted into the Anterior chamber and removed out.Sutures were used to close the main wound.Following this Pars plana vitrectomy was performed.An iris claw lens was held and tucked into the iris at its posterior aspect.Anterior vitrectomy was performed to make the pupil round and the surgery was completed.
