Management of traumatic cataract is often complicated by the presence of double troubles like preoperative zonular dialysis, posterior capsular tear, coexisting trauma to the iris or cornea, and poor visualization. Cataract surgery in such a situation to give best possible vision for the patient becomes challenging. Planning the surgical approach is of the utmost importance in cases of traumatic cataract. This video demonstrates tips and tricks of doing a capsulorhexis in a fibrosed capsule, managing vitreous in anterior chamber, use of CTR, CTS and hooks and doing slow-motion phacoemulsification in cases of subluxation and open posterior capsule successfully without disturbing the anatomical support.
