Cataract after penetrating keratoplasty is an important cause of reversible visual loss. Its a challenging situation as the ophthalmologist has to remove the lenticular opacity along with retaining the graft clarity. Moreover, astigmatism management during surgery also helps to improve best corrected visual acuity further more. The video will demonstrate series of cases of post penetrating keratoplasty cataract removal by phacoemulsification under topical anesthesia. It will also highlight preoperative preparations, medications, investigations and IOL type/power calculations. The intraoperative precautions, special tricks, medications & skills during surgery will be the prime focus. It will end with emphasis on postoperative management and follow up. At the end of the video the attendee will feel confident of performing surgery in such patients.
