INTRODUCTION: Dry eye syndrome (DES), also known as dry eye disease (DED), keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS), and keratitis sicca, is a multifactorial disease of the tears and the ocular surface that results in discomfort, visual disturbance, and tear film instability with potential damage to the ocular surface There are various modalities of treatment of Dry eye syndrome. Mucosal membrane Graft is one of the uses methods for treatment of dry eye syndrome. A full-thickness oral mucous membrane graft is the simplest graft to use if conjunctiva or tarsus is not available. Use of MMG can relieve discomfort in extreme dry eye situations
METHOD: In this video we are showing the use of retrieval of mucous membrane and graft for the treatment of dry eye syndrome.
CONCLUSION: Use of Mucous membrane Graft is a cost effective, reliable and efficient modality for the treatment of Dry Eye Syndrome.
