BACKGROUND
The levator resection surgery is an intervention used in those patients who have some amount of levator function. the amount of resection is decided preoperatively. It is generally agreed that resection of levator palpebrae superioris (LPS) is the most physiological approach to the treatment of a ptosis case. surgical method involving LPS resection system can allow for more contractility of the levator muscle and thus maximize protection of the eyelid structure.
METHOD
Here we are presenting case with succcessfuly done levator palpebral superioris resection with proper identification of anatomical details.
CONCLUSION
By identifying proper anatomical structures we can perform levator palpebrae superioris (LPS) resection and achieve good cosmetic correction.
